Who can use skin boosters:

  • Skin Boosters are versatile treatments that can be used for men and women of all skin types over the age of 18, for the face, neck, hands and décolletage, and for people who want to improve skin structure e.g. in acne-scarred or photo-damaged skin.

  • However contraindications for use are: Pregnancy, breast feeding, infection at injection site/herpetic (cold sore), coagulation disorders/ anti coagulation immunosuppression, uncontrolled diabetes, previous allergic reaction to the product.

During Treatment

  • On each visit your Clinician will administer a series of tiny, fine-needle injections into the superficial and mid dermis (the underlying layer of the skin.) These micro injections will focus on your problem areas. During the procedure, some people experience a certain level of discomfort, but most people report that this procedure is comfortable. 0.3% Lidocaine contributes to the patients comfort during the injection.

Summary of your treatment: 

  • Procedure time – 30 minutes

  • Anaesthetic – topical numbing cream 1 hour before treatment can be applied if requested and product contains 0.3% Lidocaine.

  • Full recovery –  Immediately for some people, 24 hours for others. It can be very client dependent, for example: you may have tiny pin pricks or tiny bumps that look like mosquito bites all over the face.

  • Results – best results are seen in 4 weeks and are dependant on the individual’s lifestyle, age and skin type.

  • Risks and complications – mild bruising, swelling and infection.

  • How many treatments- A course of 3 treatments 3 weeks apart.

  • Duration of results – 6-9 months

  • From then on it is advised that you have 1 treatment every 6 months to maintain the results.

  • Prices depend on what areas we treat and how much product you need. Prices for this treatment typically start from £150 per 1ml syringe. £275 for 2 syringes and £400 for 3 syringes
